UVX Mask

The wind-resistant UVX Mask contours over the back of the head and shields the neck and face for protection on relentlessly sunny days. A breathable and odor-controlling piece, we employed a COOLMAX® Extreme fabric that wicks and quickly dries for all-day comfort. Wear inside or outside a shirt, the UVX Mask Buff^® has laser-cut breathing port to aid airflow and prevent sunglass fog.

Specs/Details

• Coolmax® Extreme: A special four-channel fiber forms a transport system that pulls moisture away from the skin to the outer layer of the fabric. It then dries that moisture faster than any other fabric to thermoregulate the body.
• *UPF 50+
  Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) measures the amount of UV radiation that penetrates a fabric and reaches your skin. A fabric rated with a UPF of 50 will allow only 1/50th of the sun’s UV rays to pass through. In other words, it blocks 49/50ths or 98% of the UV radiation. UPF 50+ is the highest possible rating. Samples of fabrics have been tested for UV protection by LEITAT—Textile Technology Institute in accordance with the standard AS/NXS4399:1996 “Sun protective clothing--Evaluation and Classification.”
