Arc'Teryx Zeta FL Jacket

Arc'Teryx Zeta FL Jacket

The Arc’Teryx Zeta FL is a lightweight, sleek, rain jacket made with GORE-TEX PACLITE. The main zipper is waterproof; the pockets are also waterproof to keep what’s inside protected from the rain. Sadly, the jacket has no interior pockets. But the outer pockets are in a comfortable location and will not be blocked by a backpack’s hip-belt.

To provide a better fit, the jackets arms are articulated to better move with you, and the center back length of the jacket is slightly longer to cover the backside.

The top cuffs of the sleeves are slightly longer. While this feature does not have a practical application, it is a testament to Arc’Teryx’s attention to details. The under cuffs of the jackets’ sleeves are elastic to keep water from running down the sleeves of the jacket.

While the jacket does not come with a stuff sack, nor do any of the pockets serve as a pack-able pocket, the jacket can also be rolled up into the hood where it is held in place by a snap piece.

The hood has a single point adjustment with two direction stitching that allows the hood to fit comfortably on the head.

The Zeta jacket has reinforced fabric to reduce tears in places prone to environmental damage and that tend suffer from abrasion. Potential cons of the Zeta jacket could be its slim fit design, and—although considered breathable— it does not have pit zips to aid in dumping body heat.
